The course will be held on October 23rd 2025. It is intended for first-time users with little or no experience in flow cytometry. A series of advanced flowcytometry sessions will be organized at a later time.
The morning will be a theoretical course with a general introduction to flow cytometry, the latest technological advances in flow cytometry and information on the flow cytometry possibilities at Maastricht. The afternoon will involve hands-on practical sessions to learn to use the flow cytometers and to get acquainted with data acquisition, analysis, and troubleshooting. You will be able to choose between a session on our conventional flow cytometers (BD FACS Canto II, DIVA software, suitable for most applications with max 8 fluorochromes) or the spectral Cytek Aurora (SpectroFlo software, specifically interesting for larger marker panels or highly autofluorescent samples).

For the hands-on sessions places are limited and will be filled on a first come-first serve basis. For the theory session, places are limited due to the capacity of the Lecture room.
